Explore modular synthesis. Discover new connections. Create your own virtual modules.
Eurorack AI Studio is being developed to help you understand your music hardware, explore new patch ideas and get more from the equipment you own. From your first Eurorack setup to a collection of instruments from different manufacturers, it will provide a workspace for learning, planning and creative experimentation.
The app will bring together a playable virtual rack and a separate workspace for organising and planning connections between physical music products, supported by manufacturer-authorised reference materials and clearly labelled AI-assisted guidance.
Build virtual patches, adjust controls, explore sounds and record your performances using browser-based modules.
You will also be able to create your own virtual modules by describing what you want them to do. AI will turn your description into a module that you can add to your virtual rack and connect with other virtual modules, helping you explore your own ideas and develop different ways of making sound.
The virtual rack will be the only part of the app that generates or plays audio.
A dedicated workspace will help you understand how to connect external music hardware to other hardware and to your Eurorack system.
Explore connections between synthesisers, drum machines, sequencers, effects units, mixers and Eurorack modules—including compatible products from different manufacturers. Organise your equipment, review documented functions and settings, and develop audio and technical patch plans to try on your physical hardware.
The aim is to help you discover useful combinations, understand audio routing, control signals, modulation and synchronisation, and explore creative possibilities across the equipment you already own.
Manufacturer products will be included for reference and physical patch planning only. They will not produce audio or be simulated by the app.
The reference catalogue will use product information and materials within the permissions agreed with each manufacturer.
AI-assisted guidance will help you explore patch ideas and possible connections, with a clear distinction between documented product information and generated suggestions. Uncertainties, compatibility considerations and required manual checks will be highlighted. Unverified ideas will not be presented as confirmed safe connections or manufacturer-endorsed instructions.
A separate section for designing physical Eurorack modules is planned, but development has not yet started.
Its purpose will be to help you understand how modules work, how their functions and components fit together, and how to develop your own module designs. Whether you want to deepen your understanding or work towards a module you could build yourself or have made, this section is intended to support both learning and practical design.
Eurorack AI Studio is planned as a browser-based app for phones, tablets, laptops and desktop PCs, with layouts adapted to each screen size.
Phones will support convenient reference checks and hardware photography, while tablets and larger screens will provide more space for equipment layouts and detailed patch planning.
A community space is being considered for a future release, where users could share patch ideas, discuss hardware connections and techniques, and learn from one another.
This remains a potential addition and is not a confirmed launch feature.
